There is something that is progressive, forward moving, about Christ coming and dying for us, being raised from the grave, accending to the Father, and interceeding on our behalf.
As I was in worship today, I was just so moved about how forward Christ was in what he knew of his purpose. He did not give up when he knew that he had to die, he walked toward it. He did not call a host of angels to come and save him, he took death staright on. He did not abondon us in the grave, but was resurrected and LIVED amoung us even after what he went through, but he did not even stop then. He could have said ok, I'm done, I did my part. No, he knew that there is more....he now, even today, is continuing his ministry on our behalf.
How many times do I stop?
How many times do I face my test, and give up? How many times in the middle of my hardest trials, my biggest storms, do I just fold up and quit? How many times have I made it through just to fall apart on the other side?
I have done all of these things, I have been at every stage of this. But the example of Christ is not about giving up or dying, it is all about moving forward and LIVING!
You may be at a place today where you are facing your storm, you see it coming and you want to hide. Jesus sent his disciples out across the sea, knowing the storm was coming. Your storm has been seen far off by the one that loves you the most. Move Forward, LIVE!
You may already be in the storm, and it feels like hell. You may even think that you will not make it through, and may not even want to make it through. Rather if Jesus stands up or not to calm your strom does not cange the fact that you have to move forward, you have to LIVE!
You may have just made it through and feel so beat up that there is nothing else to give. Can I just encourage you that there is a resuurection of sorts in the here and now also. God can and does renew and He does so, for you to keep moving forward, to keep LIVING!
Living is not just about breathing, it is not about getting by, it is all about Moving Forward!
